Museum Strawberry Social

The Champlain Trail Museum and Pioneer Village would like to invite you to our annual Strawberry Social on Sunday, June 23rd at 11:30AM-2:30PM. This sweet event attracts families in the community to the museum for a lovely afternoon chalk full of strawberries, ice cream and cake as well as various historical demonstrations and activities offered on site. Entertainment by local group "The COuntry Classics". Tickets are $10 for adults, $4 for children under 9, or $8 if you are a member of the Champlain Trail Museum/OVHS. Tickets are available in advance at the Museum or online via PayPal.

RECOVERY ROAD GOSPEL CONCERT

Gospel Music Concert  - June 23, 2019 - 2.00PM - Pembroke Knights of Columbus Hall. Entertainment by the Intermittents, Joyfully Noisy, the Watsons (Ron, Bonita, Aerik & Leigh-Andrea)  Recovery Road give out $40 gas cards to parents, in Renfrew County, who have to take their child to CHEO or a similar institution for treatment of a "chronic or life threatening illness". To date, over 8 years, $70,000 has been given out  - 40% of which was to Pembroke and area parents. Funds are required to maintain this worthwhile cause in this area.

Kick off Canada Day weekend laughing at the first Pembroke Comedy Jam at the Pembroke Memorial Centre presented by Lapointe Chrysler. Thursday, June 27th, we'll have a rip-roaring night of entertainment headlined by one of Canada's premier comics, Mr. D creator and star Gerry Dee. Joining forces with Gerry Dee for the evening will be some hilarious comics, including SiriusXM’s 2016 Top Comic winner Chris Robinson, CBC Comedy and Comedy Network writer and actress Aisha Brown, and CBC Comedy writer, actress, and director Preeti Torul. The night will be rounded out with music from two local bands making their long-anticipated returns to the stage, Aviation and Daydreams for Dollars. Tickets are $20 in advance and $30 at the door and will be on sale beginning Monday, April 29th at 8:00 a.m. Call 613-735-6821 ext. 1501, visit the box office at the Parks & Recreation office in the PMC to get your tickets or buy online at facebook.ca/thecityofpembroke.
