Mayor Rob Burton Discusses Oakville's Immobilization Prohibition By-law
As of today, the Immobilization Prohibition By-law will came into effect in Oakville. This means, the use of parking boots and similar devices, such as wheel locks, wheel clamps, or "barnacles," with the intent to keep unauthorized vehicles in place without the vehicle owner's consent will be prohibited in Oakville. We spoke with Oakville Mayor Rob Burton to get his reasoning for why this by-law seems necessary.

Food 4 Kids Battle of The Chefs
It's the single largest fundraiser of the year for a local charity that provides food for hungry students. Food 4 kids hosted "battle of the chefs" recently with restaurants donating all of the ingredients for the treats they served, plus their time and some of their talented staff. Hundreds turned out to support the initiative that feeds over one-thousand kids in almost 120 schools across Halton.
