This Sunday, Sept 16th, marks the annual Terry Fox Run across Canada including Bracebridge. Here's the details.

The nomination deadline for the 2018 YWCA Women of Distinction Award is Sept. 14. The Catholic Women's League at St. Paul's Church in Gravenhurst recently did a day of reflection on the terrorist attacks that happened to the Twin Towers in the United States, also referred to as 9/11. Ladies across Muskoka gathered to hear from a special guest who was affected that day and to hear about her efforts in trying to make a difference in the world.

It's a building shared between two agencies that work together closely. There was an official grand opening on Sept 6. Both the fire department and Muskoka Paramedic Services are happy with their new home. 

It's back to school time and the OPP will be out making sure we are following the rules around school zone speed limits and buses. We met up with the OPP on Sept. 5, the second day of school, to monitor drivers through the school zones.
