What could be lovelier on a hot summer's day than to sit in the coolness of Picton's St Mary Magdalene Church and enjoy gifted local musicians? This year's free noon-hour concert series continues on Wednesday, July 24th; the featured performers are Janine Dudding (Celtic harp) and Josie Farrar (viola da gamba), in a program of British and Canadian music they call “Ballads and Oddities”. Bring a bag lunch if you like, and sit back and relax! Admission is free and everyone's welcome. Noon-12:45-ish

Niagara Falls Downtown Car Show taking place on Queen Street in the heart of the old city. The show is themed a celebration of the automobile and showcases vehicles of all ages, classes and types. Classics, cruisers, muscles cars, euro-tuners and the latest offerings of American Muscle.  There will be over 100 vehicles on display.  The show stretches from Valley Way to Erie Street. Open to the general public from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. Family friendly event. Free admission. Vendors will line Queen Street along with the cars on display.  Many local merchants offer sidewalk sales and there are fine restaurants all along the street to enjoy. A fun day of cars, food and entertainment.

(MUSKOKA LAKES TWP, ON) - During the very early morning hours of Tuesday July 2, 2019 at approximately 2:30 a.m., Bracebridge Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), and Muskoka Paramedic Services responded to an assault that occurred on Bala Falls Road near Muskoka Road 169 in Bala, ON. The involved people had left a nearby bar and an altercation ensued resulting in serious injuries to a 30 year-old Burlington man.   The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to call Bracebridge OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or you may call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or submit your information online at Crime Stoppers does not subscribe to call display and you will remain anonymous. Being anonymous, you will not testify in court and your information may lead to a cash reward of up to $2,000
